Ok, I spent from noon yesterday to about 3am working on a 12 month calendar for 2011. I created a template for every month….you can just pop in pictures or papers by clipping them to the masks. In the case of this page….I turned off all the square masks for every day except for day 25 and clipped a picture of Preston to that mask. You could clip different papers or pictures to the background or the individual days. I REALLY like how January turned out….I will probably be submitting this picture for my project 3 at JS.com. I got a call from my BESTEST friend today….”Are you ok?” “You haven’t posted anything for a few days!” I can’t believe I missed a day!!!! I’ve been so into doing this 365 day project that I am SO disappointed I missed yesterday! The reason I missed yesterday was because I got an email from Jessica’s Sprague’s website and they are looking for creative team members. You have to submit 3 projects all due on October 3rd…which only gives me a few days to come up with 3 projects. I was thinking what I could do….and yesterday I RAN to Michael’s Craft store to get some things to help with my projects. I came home and almost finished one whole project, which took some hurrying on my part…and I totally FORGOT to post yesterday! ARG! Here’s my first project that I am submitting. It’s a personalized favor box for a wedding. Chrissie took the pictures of a friend at her wedding. I had copies of the pictures…..and I created a mask to clip the pictures into, so that you could just cut the shape out and tape/glue it to the box. I am really pleased with this 1st project. You could change it up and use the boxes for say Halloween candy boxes by putting little monsters on the outside too. Anyway…off to my next project!
I heard it’s my boss’ birthday on Monday and tonight we are going out to dinner, he and his wife and Tony and I to celebrate my 10 year service anniversary. I made this card for his birthday. I embossed with white powder the words Happy Birthday. I also used a Cuttlebug embossing card to emboss the Happy Birthday words in the white background.
