I made this card for Tony yesterday, but I didn’t like how it looked printed out. It’s totally digital. When I printed it, it looked very flat and dull. Maybe I should have used photo paper. Anyway…I like the design….just didn’t like how it looked printed out.
This LO is only partially finished, but I had to post something for today before I leave for work….so this is it…I’ll post the finished pic or update this one tomorrow. There are a lot of different techniques going on here…masks, brushwork, sepia tone effects, etc. This LO is for my Jessica Sprague Wacom Pen Tablet class although the only thing on this that I have used the tablet for is the ‘stitching’ look. I prefer using the mouse at this time…trying to get more proficient with the pen tablet, but today I’m in a hurry to get something posted before work! lol
We’re still working on ’emphasis’ in my Design Your Life class. The ’emphasis’ in the layout is the big picture…and the big type. The picture of Preston on the pony had a lot of unnecessary distractions going on in the background, so I created a Levels adjustment layer and cranked up the white and erased what was left in the background after adjusting the levels. Then I added some noise to give it a little different look. I also created the background blue dotted ‘paper’.
